Help to understand what Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) are and how to access them.
Discuss who is eligible to receive Pre-ETS services and the difference between these services and traditional VR services.
Increase understanding of how Education and VR collaborate to arrange for and provide Pre-ETS to students with disabilities.

This “closed” support group is designed for women (35-50) who are Autistic. Through this “closed” support group, women (35-50) can build an ongoing connection with a small community of other women. AANE “closed” support groups for women also give women an opportunity to voice their concerns and frustrations. It also lets them acknowledge hard-won and unexpected victories. Common topics of discussion are:

Masking/camouflaging
Sensory sensitivities/overloads
Relationships
Self-care
Empathy

This 8-week gender inclusive women’s support group is for Autistic women (50+). Through this support group, members can build an ongoing connection with a small community.

Accessibility Series: iPhone and iPad

Virtual

iPhones and iPads have many accessibility settings built-in to their operating systems. This workshop will teach participants about different ways to modify these Apple devices to make them more accessible, including voice control, text-to-speech features, head tracking, and more.

Our Music Therapy will now be led by Shanice Richards from Healing Hearts Music Therapy! Based on her schedule & travel from Tallahassee, FL to serve us, sessions will be on Thursday afternoons at this time. Session times vary between 3:30 - 6:15 PM. Pre-Registration is required (Link Provided Below). Space is very limited so please only sign up if you plan to attend! Location info & your child's time will be sent via email closer to date.

This event is sponsored by FAST so there is no charge to FAST members. The charge for non-members is $10.

Real-Life Stories: Smart Wearables and Smart Home Technology for Every Day

Three individuals are joining us to speak about how they use smart wearables, like a smart watch, and smart home technology to better navigate their daily activities. Our presenters are Christine Mathis, Gabe Smaglik and Susi McKay. Each will share their personal experiences using smart devices. Topics we will be covering include how to use smart devices for elopement, anxiety management, and for navigating everyday activities like cooking dinner and doing the laundry.

This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants on the topic of employment. Whether you’re currently working, looking for a job or recuperating from burn out, this group is a chance to receive support, share what works for you and learn from each other, on all things related to employment.

Online “Open” Workshop – Introduction to Autism for Families

Virtual

This 90-minute workshop will address common misconceptions, investigate Autistic identity, and explore Autistic traits, strengths, and challenges. This presentation will provide insights into your child’s neurotype, preparing you with an informed mindset for raising an Autistic child. Parents, family members, and caregivers of individuals who are potentially Autistic are also encouraged to attend.
